Busy week (and it's only going to get busier!)
Decided I would take a very quick break to update my blog. This past week was very cool and busy week. First exciting thing was that my hospital group and I got to finally go to the Peds ward at the hospital. It was so much fun (and to everyone that knows me...you know how much I loved being with all of the kids!) They were the cutest kids ever; they were so cute even that at times I even forgot that there was absolutely NO AC in the ward and the air was still as can be. Well, we got to take an H/P on a 8 month old girl who looks absolutely miserable. She ended up having a pretty rare disease called Kawasaki's disease (andif I had more time I would tell you all about it but I guess you all just have to look it up for yourselves! hehe). It was such an awesome day. The rest of the week was filled with class, studying and review sessions until we got to Thursday where we went to a local clinic to have our first Internal Med rotation. It was not that cool. The doctor was not very nice at all to us and he grilled us the entire time about the respiratory system and physical. And at the end, he didn't even explain what the patient had. So that brings us to the weekend...filled with nothing but studying and studying. I haven't left the house since friday afternoon, sad huh? Well, back to the books. Wish me luck for my test this Friday and next Monday!!
