Doctor, Doctor, Doctor, Doctor!!
I just got back from a very very quick, worldwind trip to NYC. Nat graduated from SGU this past weekend. He is officially Dr. Spencer. I am so proud of him!!! It was a very exciting and emotional time for everyone, even for him! I took a red-eye flight Friday night after class. which was awful...we had to make an unscheduled stop-over in Salt Lake due to the heat and not being able to carry enough of gas or something like that. Well I finally made it to NYC at 730am the next morning; I didn't get any sleep on the plane! Well once I got to NYC, I cabbed it to Nat and my apartment in Brooklyn. It was very exciting to finally get to see the plac where Nat and I are going to be living. It's great; a bit small, but perfect for the 2 of us just starting out with our lives together. We then went to Manhattan to meet up with Nat's parents who were staying at a hotel in the city. Nat then ran off to do "graduate" stuff and I hung out with Nat's parents. We had a great lunch at Rockefellar center. We then went to the graduation, which was very long because both the med and the vet class graduated at the same time. Post-graduation, the boys had put together a very nice dinner for all of their family and friends. It was a very lovely evening at this great Brazilian restaurant with lots o' meat! hehehe. We had such a great time we ended up closing down the place. Sunday was spent recovering and hanging out with the parents. I unfortunately had to get back to the sad reality that is my life right now...studying for Step 1 so I left Sunday night and made it back bright and early for class this morning. Overall, it was a great trip and words cannot even come close to how proud of Nat I am, he is an absolute inspiration to me and I just know that he will be an amazing doctor. Back to the books!!
