Sadly, back in NY

I am back in Brooklyn. I finished my month at CHOC this past Friday. I had a great time even though it was a really challenging rotation. It was so nice being home even though I did not get to spend as much time as I wanted with my family because of the damn Q4 schedule! I did however somehow get a lot of stuff done for the wedding. I got my wedding dress! I was post-call and sick as hell and I still managed to find the most beautiful dress ever. I know it sounds cheesy but right when I put the dress on, my heart started racing and tears started to well up in my eyes. When my mom saw me she too cried and I knew that this was the right dress. So Nat and I are doing the traditional thing where he will not see my dress until I walk down the aisle! I am so excited. I also got to pick out my flowers; get in touch with a couple of photographers; and meet with my wedding planner a couple of times. I really don't know how I managed to fit everything in with what little time I had. Luckily, I also got to spend some time with Linzy and Sarah. We had a very nice girls' weekend on my one weekend off from work. It was so great seeing them. Linzy is working very hard to help me with the bridesmaids' dresses while I am in NY.
Now that I am back in Brooklyn, I am doing another Peds SubI at Maimo and then Peds EM also at Maimo. So far it is going pretty well. Unfortunately, it is just me and the pup now cause Nat is in Baltimore doing his Shock Trauma rotation for the next 2 months. He had a very nice 2 week vacation: one week in Tahiti for his guys only surf trip which he said was awesome even though it rained more days than not and then another week in San Fran visiting the 'rents. So after a nice relaxing vacay, Nat is in the hardest rotation he has this year. I'm sure he will do really well!
Hopefully, I will have some pictures to post from home and from Nat's trip to Tahiti.
