Been a little neglectful!!
I know! I know! I have been very bad and have not updated my blog in forever. Sorry! Anyways, I have officially finished my first rotation on 9/22. Peds was awesome; it really was everything I wanted and expected. I am even more convinced that peds is what I want to go into. But I am trying to keep an open mind to all of the other rotations but between you and me peds is what I am deciding.
So peds finished with a written test and an oral test. The written test went well I think; the oral test, I got really nervous and kinda fumbled but hopefully did ok.
I started Ob/Gyn last week with my starting schedule of working nights for the entire week. It was a little hard to get used to, at first, but towards the end of the week I started to actually last through the whole night without getting too tired. Working nights is really interesting; I thought I would get to do a lot more stuff but for some reason it was very slow and I really didn't get to do that much stuff. I did, however, get to see some really cool c-sections and some normal births. This week I start day shifts which should be a lot crazier and busier. I am trying to keep my mind open about ob/gyn but I am starting to get the feeling that it is not really for me...too many night shifts and too many babies being born at 3am!
Other than work, Nat and I have been pretty boring. Nat has been working the medicine floors and has been working very long, tiring hours. Our weekends are filled with lots of sleeping and maybe some trips to the grocery store and Target. Fun, huh?
One piece of exciting news is that Nat got me the brand new pink iPod nano. I absolutely love it. It is so cute and it's pink!! I recommend everyone to get a new nano, they are tiny and so much fun. Ok well enough of rant, I will try my best to update my blog much more!!

Eliminate that word 'Bad' from your vocabulary!!! You are wonderful! Say that a dozen times!!
One of our local Doc, a gastro, was in the 2nd class @ SGU. I saw him the other day and told him how well you all are doing. He kept saying that you all should go into radiology! I laughed out loud. Compare babies and dark rooms? No contest! So glad you enjoyed your Peds rotation. Bet you could sleep on the floor sometimes! Best to you both, Susi
