LA Girl Still Stuck on an Island

Almost there!

So tomorrow will be my last day ever in medical school. It has been such a crazy trip to get to where I am right now. My dad said to me last night that I have been in school since I was 3 years old!! That's 23 years!! It's kinda weird that all of my schooling has brought me here and it is all over! Responsibility starts here, Real work starts here, Yikes!
Anyways, I am very excited to be done with med school but kinda don't know what to do with myself now. I think it'll really hit me come Monday morning when I get to sleep in and not have to think about being at some rotation.
So what do I do with all of my newly acquired time you may ask?
Well, as you may know, Nat and I are getting married in exactly 4 weeks from today (Gulp!) and there are still some things that still need to be done. The stuff that really needs to get done soon are:
-making table numbers
-getting a tan
-getting our wedding party gifts
-finalizing music choices
-finding a dress for the rehearsal dinner
-and whatever small things I know I am forgetting right now.
Yes you read correctly, I am going to try to tan in NY. I am breaking down and going to a tanning salon in the city starting next week. I have NEVER gone to a tanning salon before in my life and I am very nervous. I'm afraid that I'm going to come out looking like George Hamilton or I am going to have a panic attack from being locked into a pod. So wish me luck.
Other than finalizing wedding plans, I will be enjoying NY and hopefully doing some touristy stuff...going to the Bronx Zoo again, maybe going to the Tribeca Film Festival and maybe, just maybe, I can drag Nat to a Broadway show, which I still have never done in the 2 years I have lived here, grrrr.
My parents are coming into town in 2 weeks for graduation and will be staying in our apartment, so I have some major reorganizing and cleaning to do before they come.
I will try taking some pictures of anything that we do for the next couple of weeks.
