Rotation Update
This Friday I finished my 3 weeks of ob in my ob/gyn rotation; now it is time for my next 3 weeks in gyn. Ob was definitely interesting. I got to see a lot of stuff and perform a lot more procedures than I did in peds but the hours are just so tiring. One of the peds directors told me to try to keep my mid open to all of the rotations and to not judge them based on the lifestyle but I don't understand how that is possible. In my mind you have to take every aspect of the rotation in mind including the lifestyle to really determine if this is something you want to do for the rest of your career. I worked a 24 hour call last Saturday and I got to see an exploratory laparascopy on a patient with a possible ectopic pregnancy...it was the coolest surgery I have seen yet. In my 3 weeks of Ob, I did get to help birth a lot of babies, normally and by c-section, and see how Ob really works. So overall, I liked Ob but I don't really think it is something I can see myself doing every day for the rest of my life. Now on to Gyn for the next 3 weeks.
Other than lots of work, Nat and I have been very bad and eating out every single night. I know it's bad but after a long day at work for both of us neither one of us wants to cook dinner. We've had some yummy Thai food, Mexican-like food and Italian. But to redeem myself, I did receive my Pilates DVDs in the mail today, finally!
I finally got a new cell phone...the pink razr. I know with my luck there will be some new cooler phone coming out very soon but I just couldn't deal with my old phone anymore.
Well, unfortunately I do not have any new pictures to share but I promise to do something picture-worthy very very soon.

It must have been nice to see all those healthy babies, though. Group practicing OBs have better hours, although it's hard for the Moms if they get to like a particular Dr. Thanks for the update, and I look forward to hearing about GYN. Beat to you both, Susi
