Wedding Day Recap

I know that there has been a little bit of a lull between posts and pictures, but I'm back so here we go...
I have recapped the two weeks before the wedding, the bachelorette party, the rehearsal dinner so the only thing left is a wedding recap.

The morning of the wedding was a very early morning for both Nat and I but for very different reasons. I had to be at the hair dresser's at 9am to get my hair done and Nat got up at 8am with his groomsmen to go surf in HB, which I was told was actually really good. Once my hair was done, Helen, my wedding planner, picked up my mom (at her hair dresser's) then picked up Linzy and I to head out to Huntington Beach. At the hotel, some of my bridesmaids were already getting their makeup done by Jamie (my makeup artist and Sarah's best friend from childhood).
We had some food, some music and of course some champagne...we had a really good time.

I was the last one to get their makeup done so I was just kicking back and enjoying some food, which I really couldn't eat because I was so excited/nervous!! Once I got my makeup done though, time just flew by. Annette, the photographer got there so we took a lot of pictures of the whole "getting the wedding dress" on. Next the photographer took pictures of my bridesmaids and me all over the hotel property while the photographer's assistant did the same with Nat and his groomsmen all the while trying to keep us from seeing each other.

After all of the pictures were taken, it was that time to start getting in place for the ceremony. Helen had us all wait in another building so that Nat would not see me before the ceremony started. We all kinda sat around and dealt with random people walking around; one guy actually asked to take my picture and I told him No! Here's one picture from the ceremony that was graciously taken by Nat's fellow resident, Trissy.
After the ceremony, the wedding party and the prospective parents moved over the bridge to the beach to take group pictures.

During the beach pictures, the wedding guests were enjoying the cocktail hour with steel pan music playing in the background. After cocktail hour, we made our grand entrance with the wedding party. The wedding party walked in to Bob Marley's "Could you be loved" and Nat and I walked in to "Back in Black" by AC/DC, it was awesome!! Nat and I then had our first dance, Tony Bennett's version of "The way you look tonight". I have always loved that song ever since I heard it from "My Best Friend's Wedding".

The reception was so much fun...the music was great, lots of awesome 80s music, the food was exquisite, open bar and lots of good friends and family.

The reception ended at midnight with the whole night going by so fast. It was really the most amazing, beautiful, fun day/night we have ever had. The wedding was everything I have always dreamed of. I am so excited to finally be married to my best friend and the man I love.

p.s. these pics are only the ones the guests or my dad took, the professional pics are not ready yet!
